Welcome to Mrs. Gail Diedrichsen's Web Page.  Please feel free to enjoy the art work on display.  The art pieces have been created by our very talented 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  We will attempt to rotate these works often, so visit us often and enjoy!  

Our curriculum enhances the quality of life at our Jr. High.  Art is an important element of our school's focus.  We believe that art should:

1. be integrated into the overall school curriculum.

2. enhance each student's imagination, creativity, invention and problem solving.

3. enlighten our students about other cultures and the world around them.

4. promote tolerance and appreciation of diversity.
5. promote an understanding of the arts in world history.

6. strengthen our student's own culture and contribute to our community.

7. promote the arts in our community as a means to reach out and give our young artists an opportunity to gain recognition for their talents.

8. build a positive school atmosphere by developing self-esteem and confidence.

9. allow the students to have FUN!

Art enriches our everyday lives and at Cass Junior High we make Art so our hearts and souls will sing.
