6th Grade Reading and Language Arts

Welcome to 6th grade Reading and Language Arts!  Our 6th graders might not be able to read with their eyes shut, but  through  reading and writing we will be visiting many places .  Our 6th grade Reading curriculum explores a variety of genres and complements many of the units studied in Social Studies and Language Arts. Units include:
  • Introduction to the Elements of Literature
  • Short Stories
  • Novel Studies
  • Poetry
  • Non-Fiction
  • Mysteries / Drama
  • Independent Reading
  • Interdisciplinary Units ( Ancient  Egypt, Greek Mythology, Olympics, King Arthur & the Middle Ages)
