Homework Expectations for the 8th Grade Team

1. Homework is assigned on a daily basis and each student will need to prepare all assignments according to teacher directions.

2. In regards to homework, students are expected to use assignment notebooks, the homework hotline, and individual teacher websites to record assignments, long-term projects, and tests.

3. Failure to complete assignments on time will result in a lower grade; partial credit will be given for assignments not turned in on time. Homework is considered late if it is not in class, completed, by the specified due date.

4. Some projects and assignments are of a critical or long term nature and will not receive full credit if they are late. Failure to complete these assignments may result in partial or no credit according to an individual teacher's specifications.

5. If a student is spending more than 60 to 90 minutes on homework per night, please contact his/her teacher.
