The F.A.R. (Fitness at Recess) program is an extension of the Concord Physical Education Curriculum. To meet the Illinois State Mandate of daily physical education, the students engage in developmentally appropriate activities during their morning and afternoon recess periods. The students choose from a wide variety of individual, partner, and small group activities as well as equipment. The students learn to be self directed and responsible for their own fitness. Also, the students learn conflict resolution skills to enable them to play and interact better with their classmates. How F.A.R. will your child walk or jog on the Concord track? The students log their laps and miles throughout the year. The benefits of F.A.R. will be endless. For more information about F.A.R., consult the F.A.R. brochure included in your registration packet or click here to access a F.A.R. power point presentation. |
