Preschool Screenings
A free
developmental screening is a service provided for all preschool children
between the ages of three and five who are residents of Cass District 63. The screenings are held in the fall and
spring of each school year and take approximately one hour to complete. The screening program led by a team of school
professionals will include vision and hearing, speech, language development,
social interaction, fine and large motor coordination, and written feedback
from the parents.
We encourage all
parents of children 3 to 5 years of age to take advantage of this screening
service. Parents will have an
opportunity to meet and consult with school personnel during the
screening. If there are any significant
concerns, one of the screening team members will contact you by phone prior to
the results being mailed. Usually, parents
are notified that all is going well with their child’s development.
