The seventh grade MAP group will be busy this year with the Friends and Flags project.  Friends and Flags is a multicultural project promoting peace, understanding, and acceptance among cultures.  This year-long project will involve communicating with children from different countries through various media, as well as the creation of a culminating project.  This final project will be a cultural package allowing the partnered schools to view life in the United States and more specifically, Darien, through the eyes of our seventh grade MAP class.  In return our own class will receive cultural packages from the international partnered schools.

We have received our new Friends and Flags partners for the 2004-2005 school year!  This year the seventh grade MAP group will be exchanging cultural, historical, and geographical information with partnered schools in Baia Mare, Romania and Piekary, Poland.  Check back for updates on the progress our seventh graders have made in compiling the Friends and Flags cultural packages.
