Mr. Magic's Home Page

Hi!  My name is Jack Magic and welcome to my home page.  As a resource teacher/inclusion facilitator I am a member of the Pupil Services team and provide instructional support to students with an  IEP (Individualized Educational Program) in 3rd and 4th grade.  This support is primarily in the areas of reading, mathematics, and language arts.

Instruction and materials are individualized to meet the needs of students and are coordinated with therapists, grade level teachers, assistants, parents and myself.  These educational services and instruction are then implemented within as well as outside the traditional classroom.  Students are also given appropriate modifications and adaptations that have been previously discussed as indicated on their IEP.

Aside from working within 3rd and 4th grade, you may see me involved with other students in our District #63 community.  I help facilitate Concord's Student Council and Cass Jr. High's after school intramural bowling program.

On a personal note... I graduated from Northeastern Illinois with a bachelors degree in elementary/special education and received my masters degree from the University of Illinois in rehabilitation counseling.  I live in the western suburbs with my wife, Gail, and my two sons (12 and 15).  During my free time you may find me on the golf course, playing chess or riding my motorcycle.
