Brain Gym

 

 

To help our students prepare better for the transition from their physical education class to the classroom, we incorporate Dr. Paul Dennison's Brain Gym exercises into our physical education curriculum. At the end of every P.E. class, the students engage in the Brain Gym routine.  This consists of having a drink of water and performing a sequence of four Brain Gym exercises called brain buttons, cross crawls, hook-ups, and fingertip press. The routine takes less than five minutes and has proven beneficial in helping the students calm down and get ready to move to a different learning environment and task.
