    Superintendent's Welcome

  • Dear Parents and Community Members,

It is a tremendous honor to serve our children, parents, staff and community as the superintendent of Cass School District 63. I'm continuously amazed at the culture of student-centered excellence among our wonderful teachers and staff, as well as our supportive parents and school community. Our "Focus on the Child" is not just a motto, but something we believe in and work to practice every day.
A central component of our culture is one of continuous growth and improvement, which is embedded in our Vision 2025 Strategic Plan. The Board worked hard to provide a vision and actionable goals, as well as monitor our progress. As part of that plan, there are significant facility needs that must be addressed, particularly as it relates to several safety and security concerns as well as the district's aging and inefficient heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
After much time and effort with planning, funding these improvements will be on the June 28, 2022 general primary election ballot. I would encourage you to review our Facility Planning Frequently Asked Questions. There are also community meetings scheduled on April 27 and May 25 and one via Zoom on May 23. Our goal is simply to present factual information and to make sure we answer all of your questions.
Please reach out anytime with any questions or concerns, and thank you for your support of our children and our schools!
    Mark R. Cross, Superintendent
